Coach Todd interviews Dave Kelly about Training, Life and Procycling

Dave Kelly is one of the busiest guys I know. Years ago I coached Dave to a few triathlons and a marathon. A short while ago I was lucky to grab a few minutes of his time and shoot this quick interview.

Next time you see him commuting with his bike on the pathway try to race him up that last hill on his way home. He will appreciate the extra push. :)

Check out the interview, as always he is very entertaining. Thanks for the chat Dave!

Running a Marathon Blindfolded to Raise Money and Awareness for the CNIB

Have you ever tried to raise money for a cause? There are many races and events each year that allow people the opportunity to do so. For example the MS Bike Tour and Conquer Cancer. Last year I raised over $5000 for Prostate Cancer while training for Ironman Canada. I set a goal of raising $5000 and at first this was a very scary thought. Slowly but surely the funds came in and I found poeple to be extremely generous. A short while ago I interviewed Phil Schuman (philipschuman.com) about his unique way of raining money for the CNIB by running a marathon blindfolded. Watch the interview below to hear Phil’s great story…..

St Pats 5 and 10 Km race Calgary

St Pats 5 and 10 Km races were on the weekend and I was there to capture all the fun with my video camera.  unfortunately I was unable to run.  Give me some more weeks.   :)

THere were some good runs and some eyeopeners of where our fitness is.  I always like races like this as it gives us a chance to assess our training and to provide extra motivation.

Check out the video below and see if you can spot yourself.

Next race is the Icebreaker 10 Km!
