Hawaii (Kona) camp May 28 - June 1, 2018

The Hawaii (Kona) training camp is held on the same island as the legendary Hawaii Ironman. Most people can recall watching the epic Ironman Battles on TV. Great performances by Dave Scott, Mark Allen, Peter Reid, Chris McCormack, Craig Alexander, Chrissie Wellington and many many more have been watched in awe by millions. Now you can experience what it feels like to swim, bike and run on the same terrain as the great ones in our sport. The camp will run from May 28 to June 1 At the end of the camp you get a prize. That’s right, you get to race a half Ironman (70.3) distance event. This race also has qualifying spots for the 70.3 world championships (South Africa) and Kona Spots. In this week long camp you will stay in a beautiful Hawaiian house and every day we will swim, bike and run in preparation for the race on Saturday. The main focus of the camp will be training and the race will be your reward followed by some amazing Kona coffee and macadamia nuts.   Many have commented that the swim at Kona is one the best places in the world to swim and train. Challenging and inspiring are often words used to describe the 70.3 bike course. I think everyone should experience the Kona winds and heat 1st hand. Imagine riding your bike amidst the lava fields. The run course will be amazing as you run through a world class golf resort with the ocean over your shoulder. The cost for the camp is $1850+gst (based on double occupancy). This includes accommodations, coaching and food. Entry into the race is not included. Race registration is open and it will fill up. You can register for the race at http://www.ironman703hawaii.com/
